Dear Cadre,
We are so excited to invite you to come and be an important part of our “We Care Campaign” in Mesa, Arizona, in January 21- February 1, 2009. This will be the second “We Care Campaign” held in Mesa. The Mesa Church of Christ held the first campaign back in February of 2000, which was a great success! We were so blessed to have around a hundred cadre workers from all over the United States come and help us teach and spread the Gospel and we would love to have even more come to help in 2009.
Mesa is a bedroom community and is part of the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, centrally located in Arizona. Mesa has a city population of over 455,000 people, and is well known as a favorite retirement community in the U.S. because of its wonderful winter weather. The winters are very mild and many days are spent in short sleeves during the day. You will find more golf courses than most people have ever seen and all kinds of inviting places to see and visit. And of course we have the Grand Canyon as a major tourist attraction along with all kinds of other great sites to visit.
The church at Mesa has around 550 members today, which includes a Spanish congregation which has been having over 140 in attendance each Sunday. Back in 2001 we planned and executed a church plant and that church is called Gateway church of Christ and is over 300 members and growing. Our goal is to bring the Living Water of Jesus Christ to this thirsty desert city called Mesa. Please come and join us as we make a difference for the Glory of God.
